Overview

Located in the vibrant 9th arrondissement of Paris, SESAME- LA KAAKE LIBANAISE offers an authentic taste of Lebanon right in the heart of the city. This charming Lebanese restaurant, nestled at 75 Rue Marguerite de Rochechouart, brings a warm and inviting atmosphere that complements its rich culinary heritage.

At the core of SESAME’s menu are its signature Kaake, a Lebanese bread rolled with aromatic sesame seeds, baked to a satisfying crunch. This staple pairs beautifully with a variety of fillings—from the succulent lamb praised by frequent visitors to the savory shawarma and classic ham & cheese. Vegetarians are equally well catered for, with standout dishes like the crispy falafel and fresh taboulé, ensuring a flavorful and fulfilling experience for all.

The highlights do not end there—SESAME’s halloumi stands out for its perfect balance of textures, delivering a grilled cheese that’s buttery on the inside and slightly charred on the outside. Another dish that regularly wins acclaim is the Batata Harra, a spicy potato preparation that packs the right amount of heat and zest, proving the kitchen’s skill in blending bold flavors.

Guests repeatedly note the freshness of the bread, made in-house to perfection, which pairs seamlessly with every dish. The knefe, a traditional Lebanese dessert, rounds off the meal with its sweet and gooey charm, leaving a lasting impression of genuine Middle Eastern hospitality.

SESAME caters to diverse diners—from locals craving a taste of Lebanese comfort food to travelers exploring Montmartre who seek an honest and warm dining experience. The staff’s friendliness and attentiveness create an inclusive ambiance where every visitor feels welcomed.

To complement the food, SESAME offers a selection of Lebanese beverages, including beer, which many guests have found to be an excellent pairing. The setting itself fosters relaxed socializing, making it ideal for casual meals, small gatherings, or simply a comforting bite after exploring Paris.

All in all, SESAME- LA KAAKE LIBANAISE stands as a testament to Lebanon’s rich culinary traditions, delivered with passion and authenticity in a cozy Parisian setting. I recently tried the Lebanese dish Kaake for the first time, and we absolutely loved it! I had both the vegetarian and chicken options, and both were delicious. I also recommend giving the Lebanese beer a try; my wife loved it too. I highly recommend this restaurant, and whenever I’m in the Montmartre area, I’ll definitely visit again.

We tried this place during my visit to Paris, and we loved it! A taste from home! We got cheese and zaatar, taaouk, musakhan, ham and cheese! They were all super delicious! Musakhan and taouk were my favorites. Not to forget the dessert, knefee! Full of flavors, a must try. We had eggs and balila as well, they come with little pieces of kaak. You can always ask for more kaak
